Claudia Rankine

Claudia Rankine was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She is the author of the book-length poem Plot (Grove Press, 2001), and the collections The End of the Alphabet (Grove Press, 1998) and Nothing in Nature is Private (Cleveland State University Poetry, 1995). She is coeditor with Juliana Spahr, of American Women Poets in the 21st Century: Where Lyric Meets Language. Her new book Don't Let me Be Lonely will be published in September 2004 by Graywolf Press. Ms. Rankine’s work has appeared in numerous journals including Boston Review, The Kenyon Review, TriQuarterly and Verse. She is a member of the creative writing faculty at the University of Georgia.
