With over 350 flights a week to Montego Bay and Kingston from London and thirteen U.S. gateways, Air Jamaica flies more people to Jamaica than any other airline in the world.

Founded in 1969 as a state-owned airline "The Love Bird" is today the private national airline of Jamaica. "The new Air Jamaica is designed to be professional," says chairman Gordon "Butch" Stewart, "with a Jamaican flair, a national carrier that we can be proud of."

Jamaicans are very proud of their airline. The national carrier has an impeccable safety record, and the youngest fleet to the Caribbean. Passengers in the main cabin are served complimentary Champagne, wine or Red Stripe beer with every meal. And the Stop Over Free program allows travelers to visit Jamaica and another Caribbean destination such as Grand Cayman, The Bahamas, St. Lucia, Barbados, Grenada, and The Dominican Republic, for the price of one.

The airline recently increased its fleet to 19 planes with the acquisition of a brand new Airbus A340 long haul jet for its London routes-proving once again that Air Jamaica is soaring to new heights.
