Edward
Baugh is Emeritus Professor of English at the University
of the West Indies, Mona. He was born in the town
of Port Antonio and educated at Titchfield School,
the University College of the West Indies, Queen’s
University (Canada) and the University of Manchester.
He has published books and numerous critical articles
on West Indian Literature. His second collection
of poems, It Was The Singing, appeared in 2000.
He was Public Orator for the Mona Campus from 1985
to 2002.
