Alwin
Bully is the UNESCO Senior Program Specialist for
Culture in the Caribbean. A prolific artist, he
received the highest national award from his home
country of Dominica for his design of its national
flag and his work in the field of culture. As a
playwright and theater director he has won several
awards from the International Theatre Institute
(Jamaica Centre) and from various regional and international
organizations. Mr. Bully served on Dominica’s
Tourist Board for many years and has chaired numerous
Arts and Culture organizations.
His carnival designs, musical compositions, stage,
costume and lighting designs, choreography, poems,
short stories, radio serials, paintings and book
illustrations have made him one of the region’s
most talented artists. He lives in Jamaica with
his wife and three children.
